Silent Legacy

“Silent Legacy” presents a folded fan suspended in a calm, muted space. At first glance, it appears as a simple, peaceful object—light, elegant, almost weightless. Yet the subtle marks on its surface and the restrained, earthy palette suggest a deeper past.

In historical Japan, China, and Korea, fans were not only decorative accessories: some concealed cold weapons, carrying hidden power behind their delicate form. This painting echoes that paradox.

The fan becomes a reminder that quietness can be deceptive, that every object—and every person—may hold stories far beyond what is visible. The artwork invites the viewer to consider what histories lie beneath the surface of things we think we understand.
